READY Salone strengthens business skills and support systems for women
In Freetown, the READY Salone project brought together 48 women entrepreneurs and support organizations for two workshops focused on practical skills and inclusive collaboration.
Communicating for market success
From 30 June to 3 July, 26 women entrepreneurs joined a four-day training on storytelling, pitching and using digital tools to grow their businesses. Participants also learned how to use ChatGPT in Krio, showing that AI can be accessible and useful for their careers and businesses.
Building more inclusive networks
On 4 July, 22 representatives from women’s business associations and development partners came together to discuss how Sierra Leone’s business ecosystem can work better together for women. The workshop combined peer learning with hands-on design of practical solutions.

“In communicating, I used to think I might not be able to change the perception, mind or action of the respondent. I now know communication involves many elements - voice pitch, tone, the value of content, body language and more.” — Rebecca Hudi-Turay, Country Director at Girls Empowerment Summit, Sierra Leone
